Our Dell PowerEdge server (Quad Core Xeon 2.5 GHz, 8 GB RAM, 4 x 500 GB HDD) costs $1000 (one-time). We spend $300 - $400 every month on each server for bandwidth charges (connected 24/7 to high-speed internet) and same day hardware replacement contracts. We place no more than 200-300 accounts per server. A server is replaced every 4-5 years. While we can keep adding addition hard drives and increase storage and bandwidth we offer, doing this greatly increases website loading time and reduces server stability. Do you think a server with ten 500 GB Hard Drives and accounts setup with GB's of storage would be stable?
